Madison County student charged after 'glock switch' device found on campus, sheriff says

The Madison County Sheriff's Office has charged a student at Hazel Green High School after an anonymous tip led investigators to find an unserialized firearm component and a device commonly known as a "Glock switch" on campus. The student was identified through the school's anonymous tip line and was taken to the Madison County Criminal Investigations Division for questioning. The investigation also revealed components consistent with a machine conversion kit and 9mm ammunition in the student's vehicle. Additional charges and arrests are expected. The school has removed the student from campus pending the outcome of the investigation.
