Meryl Streep has recalled that the 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada, had to contend with its budget due to its classification as a "chick flick" classification. Streep said that the film's classification made it difficult to pull together a budget for the David Frankel-helmed adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's novel. The film, which earned over $325 million worldwide, also featured Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.
