The winners of the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, CPH:DOX, were unveiled in the Danish capital on Thursday evening. Among the winners were director Asmae El Moudir, director Kathryn Ferguson, director Sinéad O’Connor Doc Maker, and Haut et Court Doc. The €30,000 ($34,755) award for Don’t Let the Sun Go Up on Me went to Haut Et Court Doc for the CPHROUGHCUT project. The Sandbox Films Science Pitch Prize was awarded to the project Matrescence, which aims to inspire conversation about how Western society treats its mothers. The Al Jazeera Documentary Channel Co-Production Award went to CPH.:FORUM project Everything Is Red and Grey by directors Shourideh C. Molavi and Shrouq Alaila.
