Girl Scouts San Diego is suing Ferrero U.S.A., its subsidiary, Little Brownie Bakers (LBB), alleging that the company violated contract terms and left the nonprofit short of funds. The lawsuit was filed in federal court, claiming that Ferrero terminated its contract in 2024, a year before it was set to expire, leading to 25 job cuts and 21,000 fewer packages delivered to military members through Operation Thin Mint. The loss of funds led to increased revenue, reduced earnings for scout troops and increased consumer confusion.
