NWS confirms EF-1 tornado hit Defiance

An EF-1 tornado hit Defiance, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon, causing damage to buildings and trees. The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado was embedded within a line of thunderstorms and had peak winds of 95 mph. The tornado traveled 4.08 miles and had a path width of 225 yards. No fatalities or injuries were reported. The most significant damage was caused near Davidson and South Clinton Street, where several trunks were snapped, a branch lodged into a roof, and several wooden transmission lines were snapped.
