Michael Pittman Jr. has joined the Pittsburgh Steelers from the Indianapolis Colts and is looking forward to playing with them. The Steelers' new head coach, Mike McCarthy, has been praised for his positive outlook on the team's offensive strategy, which he believes fits with his own style of football. The team's free agency moves suggest that McCarthy's focus is on complementary players to enhance the Steelers' identity as a physical, run-first offense. Pittman's addition to the team adds a big-bodied wide receiver with a strong physicality and a diverse route tree. The organization also signed former Carolina Panthers and Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle, while releasing tight end Jonnu Smith and releasing team MVP Kenneth Gainwell.
