Severe Weather Outbreak Leaves Damage Across Plains, Midwest

The National Weather Service has issued several safety tips during a tornado outbreak, including where to take shelter, where debris can cause injuries and injuries. Avoid windows at all costs, avoid heavy objects like pianos or refrigerators that could fall through the floor, and stay in a mobile home manufactured before 1976 during a tornadoes. Lock doors, turn off utilities at main switches before evacuating, and never walk through moving water. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has also shared flood safety tips. The National Weather Services has issued a "Tornado Watch" for parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, and a "Quasi-Linear Convective System" (QLCS), which can produce tornadoes and hail.
