The World Baseball Classic Championship Game (WBC) could be moved to midseason, possibly in place of the All-Star Game. This could improve the quality of play as pitchers are fully built up and not kept on short pitch limits in the early rounds of the WBC. However, the timing of the midseason WBC could also be influenced by player participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
