The Aces, who have won three league championships under the previous collective bargaining agreement, exemplify these issues. The WNBA and WNBPA have signed a term sheet for a new CBA, which still needs to be ratified by the Board of Governors and the player body over the next few weeks. The new revenue-sharing model is the highlight, with the league projecting it will deliver over $1 billion in player salaries and benefits. The salary cap for the 2026 season will be $7 million and is expected to surpass $10 million by the end of the deal. Teams will no longer be able to trade pregnant players without consent, and there are new exceptions for injured and pregnant players.
