German union aims for breakthrough at Tesla Berlin plant

Germany's top industrial union, IG Metall, is campaigning for more influence at Tesla's (TSLA.O) gigafactory outside Berlin, where staff are voting for a new works council. The current council is currently dominated by non-union members. The union is fielding 116 candidates in an attempt to secure a simple majority of the 37 seats. It has accused management of instating anti-union sentiment and focusing solely on boosting its membership.
