Ether Supply Tightens as Staked ETH Reaches New 38M High
Published on March 25, 2026.
Ether's liquid supply on the Ethereum network continues to tighten, with exchange netflows, rising staking participation, and declining exchange reserves all indicating a shrinking pool of readily available tokens. This could potentially establish a stronger structural price floor for the cryptocurrency in the future. ETH's staking share continues to rise, with about 38.1 million ETH locked, equating to 33.1% of the total supply. This is the highest level recorded by Everstake, indicating a shift towards illiquid capital rather than tradable inventory. The entry queue holds 2,876,752 ETH with an estimated wait time of nearly 50 days, indicating sustained demand. However, the exit queue contains only 40,504 ETH, with a wait time under 17 hours.
