The effects of the Iran war, particularly on the energy market, continue to be felt across the globe as countries around the world are dealing with the fallout of the conflict. Measures include fuel export bans, increased refining standards, and increased fuel consumption in the country. China has ordered refiners to stop refined fuel exports to mitigate potential domestic fuel shortages. Japan has been particularly affected by the war, as it imports almost all of its energy needs. South Korean President Lee Jae Myung announced that the government had implemented a petroleum price ceiling and is considering further measures to curb fluctuating domestic fuel prices.
