A 31-year-old West Side man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the crime. The death toll from the outbreak of the bacteria-contaminated cheese is reported at least 30 times. The victims are believed to include those from the Chicago area who were on board the hijacked TWA. The incident occurred during a hostage crisis in 1980.
