The California governor's debate, hosted by CBS and hosted by Pomona College and Asian Pacific American Public Affairs, turned into an hour-and-a-half spectacle of the eight leading candidates arguing over each other. Former U.S. Health Secretary Xavier Becerra called for the elimination of Steve Hilton's father, referring to President Donald Trump's endorsement. The debate, which was described as "the most inclusive debate of the election," also featured two additional candidates, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, who were not included in the previous debate due to low polling numbers. Eric Swalwell's resignation amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
