The home allegedly had been used as a secret staging site for smuggling routes into Indonesia. A local man was arrested after failing to provide valid ownership documents for the birds. The man was released after posting 30,000 Malaysian ringgits' bail. The Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) believes the suspect is part of illegal wildlife trading networks.
