Metaplanet (3350) acquires 5,075 BTC, jumps to third largest BTC treasury company

Tokyo-based firm, Metaplanet (3350), has acquired 5,075 BTC for approximately $398 million, bringing it to the third largest bitcoin treasury company globally. The company holds a total of 40,177 BTC, acquired for roughly $3.9 billion, with an average cost basis of approximately $97,000 per coin. This acquisition has generated a 2.8% year-to-date for the company.
