Martin Zandvliet, known for his Oscar-nominated 2015 movie Land of Mine, has made his debut television show, Harvest, which premiered at Canneseries. The seven-part drama follows the story of a farming family at war. The show was billed as ‘Succession with tractors’ and has been supported by Danish pubcaster DR and its in-house production division DR Drama. Zandviet distanced himself from comparisons with HBO hit Succession, stating that Harvest has nothing to do with Succession. He also mentioned that he wanted to make the show visually appealing and that he felt it fit into his work.
