Denver Water warns more water restrictions are coming

Denver Water is considering new water restrictions due to a record-warm winter and low snowpack. The utility has asked its customers to delay using automated sprinkler systems until mid-May or mid-June. The Board of Water Commissioners is considering a drought plan at its next board meeting. The average daily use between April 1 and May 15 is 137 million gallons per day, roughly the size of 10 Olympic swimming pools.
