The Bay Area is hosting a number of great shows, concerts, and film fests this weekend. Jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, who debuted at the 1998 Thelonious Monk International Vocal Competition, is thriving in her mid-career and has kept her music fresh and appealing. She will perform in an intimate duo with pianist Michael Kanan, a "treasured accompanist," in a change of pace. The San Francisco Symphony's upcoming performance will feature pianist Yuja Wang as a soloist on Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Alexander Tsfasman's "Suite for Piano and Orchestra." Opera San José is wrapping up its final production of "La Traviata," starring Mikayla Sager and WooYoung Yoon. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival will air on April 25 at Berkeley’s David Brower Center.
