Nebraska attorney faces suspension over alleged AI use in state Supreme Court brief

The Nebraska Council for Discipline is recommending the temporary suspension of attorney Greg Lake's law license from practicing law following allegations of using artificial intelligence in a state Supreme Court brief. The brief, submitted by Lake in February, had numerous errors and was found to contain references to cases, fictitious cases, and misquotes from statutes. Lake denied using AI and the court dismissed the divorce appeal last month, stating his claim that he filed the wrong draft lacks credibility. The final ruling will be made by the Nebraska Supreme Court.
