No. 4 Texas and No. 10 Mississippi State are set to play in one of the country's premier series this weekend. The Men's College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, doesn't start until June 12. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle believes that wins for Texas now mean opportunities for them in June. Despite a disappointing season for Texas, Schlossanagle believes his team is a better team this season due to injuries to the pitching staff. The Longhorns have a slight advantage in WHIP and hits per innings pitched, while Mississippi State is No. 18 with 1.69 home runs per game. However, rain could delay the game, forcing cancellation of conference games.
