However, this is a weaker storm that will arrive after sunset. The set-up for this storm was ideal for strong storms due to a vigorous upper low moving overhead, an April day with some sunshine, and decent available moisture. The strongest tornado in California's history was spawned by a fire - a massive EF-3 fire tornado with winds reaching nearly 150 mph.
