Applications are open for $50.5 million in Rural Health Transformation Program grants through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. The grants cover various topics including childcare for rural healthcare workers, technology support for rural ambulance services, and equipment and technology upgrades for rural and tribal communities. The application deadline is August 8. The new grants are part of North Dakota's nearly $200 million first year allotment to strengthen rural healthcare as part of the One, Big Beautiful Bill Act signed into law by President Donald Trump in 2025. An additional $2 million in grant funding is expected to be announced in coming weeks.
