Medical examiner amends Sandra Birchmore’s manner of death

The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has changed the cause of death of Sandra Birchmore, who was found dead in 2021. The amended death certificate lists asphyxiated as an undetermined cause. Former Stoughton police officer Matthew Farwell is accused of murdering Birchmore and her unborn child to cover up their sexual relationship.
