HVTV's 'Renovation Aloha' team, the team behind the popular home renovation show, is facing legal charges for airing content that shouldn't have been released according to state rules. The episode, which featured uncensored images of apparent ancient skeletal remains discovered at a Hilo property, was filmed in December 2025 and did not show the hosts touching or moving the remains. Hawaii's Attorney General, the Department of Public Safety, issued a temporary restraining order preventing the broadcast of the images, citing a previous court order issued prior to the episode's release. The show's hosts, Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama, and the production team are now facing four counts for allegedly violating Iwi Kupuna protection rules.
