A suspected terror plot to blow up a Bank of America branch in Paris was thwarted by police early Friday morning, when one suspect was seen attempting to ignite a homemade bomb. The suspect was taken into custody but his accomplice, who was spotted nearby, managed to evade the police manhunt. The explosive device was taken for analysis at the Paris Police Prefecture. The plot was part of an investigation led by the Paris Judicial Police in conjunction with the General Directorate for Internal Security and the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office.
