The New York Mets team is undergoing a significant transformation this season, with new Mets ace Freddy Peralta and NL Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes being introduced as their new faces at Citi Field. Starting Opening Day, fans will be able to listen to Mets radio broadcasts in their seats without audio delay, thanks to a partnership with Audacy and SportsBug. This will be the last time Howie Rose, the Hall of Fame play-by-play man for the Mets, will retire after the 2026 season. The team's offseason overhaul saw the loss of key players including Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNeil, and Jeff McNeill, and Brett Baty. In the outfield, 33-year-old Nimmo has been replaced by Carson Benge, the club’s top position player prospect, who is expected to be the primary right fielder for most of the season.
