TV champ Jamie Ding has won 31 consecutive Jeopardy! games, earning almost $900,000 through his unique technique to buzz in before other contestants. Ding, who uses a buzzer trick based on the sound of host Ken Jenning's voice, has been fifth in the all-time ranking of consecutive game wins, behind Ken Jennings, Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, and James Holzhauer. Ding also ranks fifth in terms of highest winnings during the show’s regular season, having won $882,605. Since his first appearance on the March 13 episode of Jeopardé!, Ding made his name as the host of the show in 1964. The show was initially conceived by media mogul Merv Griffin in the 1960s and was bought by NBC without looking at a pilot show.
