Cameron Young, who won his first PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship in 2004, became the 1,000th unique winner in the circuit's history during his fourth season as a card-carrying member. Despite a successful rookie season, Young faced significant expectations, including seven podium finishes and being awarded Rookie of the Year. He also fell short of Will Zalatoris and Justin Thomas at the PGA Championship and the 150th Open at St. Andrews.
