Twelve tons of Nestle S.A.'s KitKat chocolate bars have been stolen from a truck carrying 413,793 bars from the company's new range. The stolen truck had left central Italy to distribute the products across Europe but never reached its final destination in Poland. The company confirmed that the bars can be traced through a unique batch code and is informing anyone with information about the theft. The theft follows a warning from the International Union of Marine Insurance and TAPA EMEA about a rise in cargo theft and freight fraud, which is said to be increasing.
