Update on Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton leaving game with calf injury

Giancarlo Stanton, a New York Yankees player, was forced to leave a game against the Astros due to calf tightness after a sixth-inning walk. Manager Aaron Boone confirmed that Stanton had felt the tightness when he advanced to third base after Jazz Chisholm's walk. Stanton was seen leaving the field with lower left leg tightness and was taken to a clubhouse training room. The Yankees blew out the Astros 12-4 to make it their seventh consecutive win. It is believed Stanton first felt the injury after running out his sixth-in-hour single.
