Rep. Wesley Bell defeated former Rep. Cori Bush in a Democratic primary rematch in a St. Louis-based district. Bell's campaign and outside allies outspent Bush by 27-to-1, according to AdImpact. United Democracy Project, a super PAC linked to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the pro-Israel advocacy group known as AIPAC, spent $2 million to support Bell, largely through negative ads attacking Bush. Bush criticized Bell for focusing on Israel, while Bell argued that the M in Missouri doesn't stand for Middle East but for Missouri. Bush countered by saying Missourians are not happy with Bell's reliance on outside groups.
