North Carolina deputies probe HVAC thefts from churches, businesses; suspect identified

A joint investigation led to the arrest of 34-year-old man named as the primary suspect in a series of exterior HVAC thefts across North Carolina. The thefts were reported by businesses and churches. The stolen HVac units were sold for scrap metal. Police from the Alamance County Sheriff's Office and the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the suspect”s residence. The suspect is charged with two counts of felony larceny, one of felony possession of Schedule II narcotics, and one of misdemeanor possession of substances.
