National Science Board eviscerated; Trump admin fires all 22 members

The Trump administration has terminated all 22 members of the National Science Board (NSB), an independent advisory body for the President and Congress, effective immediately. The move represents a significant setback to the National Sciences Foundation (NSF) and the overall scientific enterprise in America. The board members, who are appointed by the president and serve six-year terms, have described this as a "whole eviscientation of American leadership in science and technology".
