Israeli strike kills Lebanese soldier as cross-border fire continues

A Lebanese soldier has died following an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon. The strike, near the city of Nabatieh, injured five soldiers and left one in a critical condition. The Israeli military confirmed that its attacks were focused on Hezbollah and not directed towards the armed forces or civilians. This comes as ongoing cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah continue. The military has issued a warning to residents of southern Lebanon to stay north of the border as it intensifies its operations against the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia.
