Disney's live-action Moana, set to release on July 10, has been introduced as a shot-for-shot remake of the original film. The film stars Catherine Laga'aia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as Maui, who also voiced Maui in the animated films. The sequel, Moana 2, was a hit in 2024 after being retooled from Disney+ series to a theatrical film. A new featurette, “Artistry of Moana’s” also includes a behind-the-scenes peek at the film.
