A New Jersey man, Kenneth Schnitzer, is suing Weber after he swallowed a wire bristle from one of the company's grill brushes, which he claims pierced his pancreas. The lawsuit alleges that the 15mm bristle traveled through his body and caused him to feel unwell after eating a hamburger cooked on his grill. He went to an urgent care clinic and went to Morristown Hospital, where a blood test indicated possible pancreatic illness or injury. The suit alleges that a 15mm wire from the bristle pierced his body, which is currently too dangerous to remove. The recall was made in February due to concerns that the bristles could become loose and create a choking hazard.
