It’s kitten season, so South Suburban Humane Society is hosting a shower

The South Suburban Humane Society (SSHS) is hosting a shower at noon to 4 p.m. on March 7 at the shelter in Matteson to introduce people to the needs of kittens and attract future fosterers. The event will also feature light refreshments and a chance to meet shelter kittens. The donations will be provided free for those who bring items from the donations list. The Kitten Shower & Cat Café will also be open to prospective fosters. The SSHS takes in around 5,000 cats annually, with over half being kittens.
