Google has announced updates to its Play Games platform for desktop gaming, including more premium titles and cross-buy with Android games. The company plans to offer trials for select games, starting with Dredge initially on Android, but will make this available to more developers and Windows down the line. The Play Store will soon have a Windows tab highlighting content optimized for desktop gameplay, and developers will be able to send notifications of sales to entice users. However, the company still has only a handful of large-screen games set to launch over the next year.
