Washington's Secretary of State, Steve Hobbs, has criticised President Donald Trump's executive order on elections, aimed at creating a national list of verified eligible voters. The Department of Homeland Security will collaborate with the Social Security Administration to create a list of eligible voters in each state. The order also includes barring the U.S. Postal Service from sending absentee ballots to those not on the state's approved voter list. Despite this, Hobbs stated that voting fraud is extremely rare and that the system is designed to identify and resolve issues quickly.
