Strong winds continue to move across New Mexico, with gusts of up to 65 mph expected to increase. This will bring a critical to extreme fire danger to a large part of the state. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day, and light snow is possible on some northern New Mexico mountain peaks. The winds will die down Sunday night as drier air moves into the state, but the elevated fire danger is expected to continue throughout the week.
