Investment to tackle rural crime welcomed by PCC

The £800,000 investment in tackling rural crime has been welcomed by West Mercia police chiefs. The funding will be invested into the National Wildlife Crime Unit and the National Rural Crime Unit. The area's rural landscape is particularly vulnerable to criminal activity, according to the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), John Campion. The PCC has already begun taking action against rural crime, including funding for five specialist officers and dedicated rural crime training for call handlers.
