Final Fantasy 14 Switch 2 officially confirmed for August after free 1-month trial to show us how the MMO runs on Nintendo's new handheld

Square Enix has revealed its new Final Fantasy 14 expansion, Evercold, which is set to launch in August. The game will be preceded by a free trial to learn about how the game runs on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform. The announcement was made during the keynote showcase at Fan Fast 2026.
