One of the UK’s greatest stadiums is getting renamed for the first time ever

The home of Scottish football, Hampden Park, is being renamed after a multi-million-pound sponsorship deal from the Scottish Football Association (FA) and Barclays. This is the first time ever that Hampden has been sold. The deal is reportedly worth around £1 million per year and Hampden is set to be long-term. The change to Hampden's name follows a planning application to install a huge ‘Barclays Hampden’ logo at the front of the stadium. The sponsorship has been met with criticism, with some calling it ‘truly shocking and shameful’ by the Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee.
