U.S. stock futures were little changed after President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire. Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 53 points, or 0.1%. All three major indexes rose during the regular session, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite adding 0.26% and 0.36%. Both averages posted new intraday and closing highs. These developments build on Trump's remarks earlier this week that the Iran war was "very close to over" and that Tehran wants to "make a deal very badly". However, Liz Ann Sonders, chief investment strategist at Charles Schwab, cautioned that the narrowness of this market comeback may not necessarily suggest longevity.
