Food and Wine names Portland burger spot among best in US

Food & Wine has named the top six new burger restaurants in the US, with a list featuring one in Portland, Oregon. The restaurant, Face Plant, serves vegan takes on fast food classics like milkshakes, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and fries. Founder Matt Plitch, a former product innovation employee at Nike and founder of the nation’s first carbon-neutral food brand, began developing the concept in 2021 and brought on cookbook author and former Bon Appétit editor Molly Baz as the drive-thru's head of culinary. The food and wine praised the burger joint for its innovative design and hospitality.
