This comes after President Trump announced a blockade on the critical oil chokepoint. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy responded by insisting it has full control of the Strait and remains open for non-military vessels. Despite Iran's threats, the US has claimed that two American Navy destroyers took down an Iranian drone.
