Multiple House Republicans post openly anti-Muslim statements

Several Congressional Republicans have posted Islamophobic statements on social media, following the Iran war. The posts have sparked tensions within Congress, with Democrats threatening disciplinary action against their Republican colleagues. Rep. Randy Fine, R-Florida, wrote on X that "We need more Islamophobia, not less," and Rep. Andy Ogles, Republican Tennessee, said that no country is "freer and safer" due to Muslim immigration, and that immigration is a national security threat. Sen. Tommy Tuberville shared a post featuring a photo of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Muslim. The anti-Muslim statements come in response to the Trump administration's war with Iran and multiple violent attacks in the U.S.
