BYD has launched the Song Ultra EV in China, with prices starting at just under $22,000. The vehicle is one of the first to be equipped with its Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology, which can recharge in as little as 5 minutes. Since opening pre-orders on March 6, BYD has secured 21,586 reservations. All variants will be powered by BYD’s new Blade Battery 2.0, with two battery packs options: 68.4 kWh and 82.7 kWh, providing CLTC ranges of 605 km and 710 km. While pre-order buyers received a free 18 months of free Flash Charged, BYd is still offering a free year as standard on all trims.
