The annual event, "Carry The Load," is set to take place on a weekend for the first time, moving from its traditional Wednesday to a Saturday, opening the door for greater participation from working residents, families, and kids. The event aims to restore the meaning of Memorial Day and provide opportunities for Americans to connect with the sacrifices of our military, law enforcement, firefighters, and rescue personnel. The change in format is part of the national Carry The Load organization, which aims to shift from a coast-to-coast walk model to more intentional time spent in each community. The borough plans a rally starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Yardley Boro Veterans Monument memorial.
